SIMON COLLIER

Owner and sustainable tourism specialist

After twenty years of tourism experience, Simon Collier launched Nature Tourism Development.

Recognising the need for supporting nature tourism businesses across Europe, and Africa.

Through his career, Simon has worked in a variety of segments linked to nature tourism. Guiding professionally, developing new tourism products, sales & marketing as well as conservation linked enterprise start-ups.

Simon Collier was born in South Africa and started his safari career at &Beyond Phinda, continuing to Londolozi where he not only worked as a guide but also as a camp manager. He continued his career at Wilderness Safaris, as General Manager for Wilderness Explorations. Currently living in The Netherlands, Simon is keeping a very strong connection to eco-tourism and nature. He educated Europe on wildlife & tourism and became an expert in developing sustainable businesses in rural areas all over Europe. He founded the European Safari Company and started his own business in 2019; Nature Tourism Development. 

Simon brings a strong combination of all of this experience to you as Nature Tourism Development.

With over twenty years in nature tourism, Simon Collier's experience and expertise began with eight years of actual guiding and lodge management across seven countries in Southern Africa. 


After several years of international sales and marketing across Europe, America and Southern Africa,  Simon's insightful learnings and understanding market trends lead to a transition in Europe.

Over the last five years, assisting new enterprise developments across ten countries in Europe as part of the new style rewilding movement brought funding nature business' to the forefront and offered Simon first hand experience across many cultures, countries  and business strategies.

The need and know how to pair opportunity in nature with business accumen is a strength built over many years of nature tourism experience.
